I never tire of seeing The New Pornographers. The Canadian superband never fails to put on a good show and this was no exception. Once again, they were without Neko Case but Kathryn Calder has really grown into the role in Neko’s absence. The evidence can be found in their closing number, "Letter From An Occupant" - a song which really makes use of Neko's rich voice, Kathryn really knocked it out of the park with her rendition. Sure I still miss Neko but Kathryn has stepped in nicely and seamlessly.

I could have done without the college kids in the crowd. Between their crowing about their fake IDs and their over-exuberance in the 90+ degree heat, I was left with a headache that had nothing to do with the volume from the speakers.
