Of Montreal @ Pool Parties, McCarren Park Pool, Brooklyn - July 30, 2006

Of Montreal played at McCarren Park Pool yesterday. They were on-stage for just over an hour - not as long as a set as I would have liked to have seen but they certainly made the most of it. Of course, as one must do these days at a show, they did a cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" during their encore. By the way, did anyone notice that the free shows are now using the stage left behind by Live Nation for their shows? It's certainly a larger stage but it just seems so gigantic - it makes it hard to keep the setting intimate (ignoring the fact the shows are in a large pool, of course). Oh, and yes, beer was much easier to get than at last night's Bloc Party concert.
