Stars @ Siren Festival, Coney Island, Brooklyn - July 15, 2006

Art Brut was fine but what really made me want to drag my ass out to Coney Island was the chance to see Stars.

After my first exposure to them at Celebrate Brooklyn! in Prospect Park last summer, I'd been waiting for my next chance to see them perform. Torquil and Amy have an amazing synergy when they perform live - with their respective solos and their back-and-forth verses, they are one of the best lead-singing duos around. Unfortunately, the Siren Festival soundboard engineers managed to suck some life out of their performance. Next time...
