Asobi Seksu @ Bowery Ballroom, NYC - July 19, 2006

Asobi Seksu, though technically a shoegazing band, is very pop-friendly. Combining the sound of shoegazing rock with frontwomen Yuki's mix of Japanese and English, utilizing different deliveries make for a unique and, more importantly, beautiful sound. I saw them the first time in June on a lark, having heard a few songs off their latest album, Citrus. They're a good band to see live - an added bonus is the upgrade in venue from Mercury Lounge in June to Bowery Ballroom this time.
