2025 7 Line 7K
The 2025 edition of The 7 Line 7K - its second ever, my second time signing up for it, and my first time ever actually running it. Also my first ever race at that distance as I don’t think I’ve ever seen another one.
I did okay, finishing it in 30:53.70 for a 7:06 pace but I’m almost certain this course was short by a tenth of a mile or so. That time was good enough for 49th overall of 1196 but also fifth in my age group. Just 17 seconds was what separated myself and third though it could be worse - fourth finished two seconds behind!
It’s only the second edition of this race but it’s dangerously close to “cursed” territory. Last year’s original date was postponed due to thunderstorms in the forecast and today’s was in freezing rainy mist, along with massive puddles (lakes, really) along the course. May the 2026 one be a warmer, sunnier run.
